We had the pleasure of working with Sam for the disposition of our family home and the purchase of a condominium...all in the period of about 6 months. We had a unique waterfront cottage sitting on a unique piece of land on a peninsula in a unique section of the State. Needless to say we needed a unique Realtor, one that would not shy away from the challenge and have the knowledge and skill for such. After interviewing Sam Kaplunov at Hall & Hunter we were satisfied that he had the skills for the situation. With so many unique factors in play to consider it took some time to mutually agree to work together. Sam agreed to take the listing but due to the uniqueness of the property he properly set the expectations regarding how long it may take to sell and our expected selling price range. Sam laid out his marketing plan and what was needed to sell such a unique estate. We are thrilled to say Sam accomplished our goals and executed the plan and our property sold much quicker than we expected.

He's on top of details, sensitive to his customer's needs, a fantastic communicator and knows the market. We had relocated out of state and our gorgeous house sat empty on the market while previously listed with two other agents. A knowledgeable acquaintance recommended Sam. As a Certified Master Inspector, I've been working with Realtors from all areas of Michigan for years. Some are really good at what they do and I tell them so. I really enjoyed working with Sam. He was very easy to work with and very patient, explaining every step of the way with me. I was always impressed with his knowledge of the houses, the time frames they were built in and the pros and cons that come with that. He would point out certain things on each home that were a positive or something to be mindful of. He was not pushy and made the process enjoyable. Sam is absolutely the best. He has the most patience with us. We dragged our twin 5 year olds to most showings (and the closing) and Sam didn't even bat an eye. He included the girls as if they were just as important as us adults. I couldn't imagine having a better experience.

We moved from out-of-state, having only visited the area once (Sam was referred to me by our Airbnb host, who'd used him to buy their house and trusted him like family). Sam was incredibly reliable and helpful. It's tough to build trust without meeting in person, but Sam is clearly trustworthy. He did several walk-throughs with a video camera so we could see houses. He was very patient and communicative when I got anxious, and informative about the process in this state. Most extraordinary, he did all this for a rental contract. Sam was amazing throughout the entire process. We started the looking for home before COVID and even when we couldn't view homes in person, Sam was very committed and helpful to find us the home we really loved. We saw many different homes and Sam was very patient and helpful with every one of them. Sam was excellent! He helped us find the perfect rental home that fits all of our family's needs all in the midst of the COVID pandemic. He gave us great advice about the personalities of the different neighborhoods in Detroit. He was always professional and was able to work with our difficult schedules.
